About Team Generation in English

Language skill Project guidance is by default in English. This is because we strive to save minor resources, but at the same time box we try to enable collaboration with various companies in the industry.Teams are communicating in English, but if you feel it is too challenging, we can take this into account.

Possible role in the team How do you act as a team member? What can your role be like? We try try to map this with a short survey and you can should select the most appropriate role based on the results. See more detailed instructions. Please read about Team Role Test

My Cumulative sum of ECTs Each team is combination of students of different levels and thus balance the abilitys between groups. So check PEPPI :)

Possible career desires Each team is build with people who are interested in different domains in software production. These orientations have been named quite "roughly" as Development, Testing, Security, Operations, Team Lead, Service Design, Generic

Survey we are collecting preliminary information as a basis for forming a project teams for future factory (IT) .  We also make sure that everyone has the necessary prior information regarding the project course.  Answer the survey as soon as possible (at the latest Tuesday 9.1.2025 12:00) so that we can get an overall picture of the number of teams and can  define the team members. The schedule is really tight and for this reason everyone has to work actively. When needed information is received in time, the projects can be started smoothly and we can start work together without any extra huzzle!

Because of co-operation with many stakeholder we have seen Discord most easiest way to provide common channel for communications..

There will be Discord server available when we start course, so make sure you have a account. You can also use your current account if you feel so!

RECAP SOME TOPICS BEFORE PROJECT

  • Miksi on tärkeätä osallistua joka viikko projektiin!???
  • All guidance is provided by default in English, but also finnish if needed
  • Projects will progress according the predefined schedule
  • Project Days are Tuesday (4 hours) and Friday (8 hours)
  • All working hours are recorded during working
  • Teams will be consist of 5-6 people
  • The structure of the each teams will be defined before the start of any project
  • All project teams will work for the same
  • Every participant is obliged to participate in the activities of their own team on the start day, and only in special exceptional situations can an exemption be granted.

  • You understand some basics of requirements definition profiling, stakeholder, customer journey paths, mockup, functional requirements, non-functional requirements, Feature)
  • Recap some Agile development concepts like sprint, Backlog, User Story
  • Recap the basics of programming eg. Python basics
  • Recap basics of the networking (TCP-IP, ports, gateway, dhcp, firewall, proxy, dns, https, http, ssh)
