About Daily Scrum

The Daily Scrum, also known as the Daily Standup, is a key event in Agile and Scrum methodologies. Here's what typically happens during this meeting:

  1. Synchronization: Team members gather to synchronize and plan their activities for the day¹². They share what they achieved the previous day and what they plan to accomplish during the current day¹. This provides transparency on the team's progress within the sprint¹.

  2. Inspection and Adaptation: The purpose of the Daily Standup is to inspect the progress being made toward the sprint goal and to adapt the work where necessary¹². This ensures that the team's work and progress is visible to all team members and provides a regular feedback loop for the team¹.

  3. Collaboration and Self-Organization: Effective Daily Scrums promote collaboration and self-organization¹. Rather than having tools or managers who coordinate the work, the Daily Standup encourages the entire team to collaborate¹.

  4. Identifying Impediments: Team members also identify any impediments or roadblocks in their way². This allows for issues to be addressed promptly and keeps the team moving forward².

Remember, the Daily Scrum is time-boxed to a maximum of 15 minutes². It's a brief but focused meeting that respects everyone's time and keeps the team aligned on their goals².
